Taking their cue from pioneers and cowboys from long ago, denim jeans have been the apparel of choice for the casual horsewoman. That is, until designer Marianne Morrison asked herself: why are women riders still wearing the same jeans designed for men over 100 years ago?

Smooth Stride's premiere line features the Parade Pants. They are the first riding jeans that are really meant for riding. We didn't just sew knee patches on and call them riding jeans, we actually reconstructed English breeches, running and bike shorts and then added in the jean. So now you have the style and flair of great Western jeans with a new comfortable design. The waistband has belt loops so you can sport your best buckle, but the zipper is faux for added comfort.
